Introduction

Welcome to Iqra Project. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Iqra Project mobile application (the "App") and our website at iqraproject.com (the "Website"), collectively referred to as the "Services," operated by Iqra Project ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Services.

User Accounts

Registration

To use certain features of our Services, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

Account Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Services. Please have them read these Terms with you.

Subscription and Billing

Subscription Terms

• Our Services offer subscription-based access to premium features.
• The subscription fee is $99 per year, billed annually.
• All fees are in USD unless otherwise stated.
• Subscription periods begin on the date of initial subscription purchase.

Payment Processing

• Payment information is processed through secure third-party payment processors.
• By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method.
• You agree to pay all charges incurred through your account.

Subscription Renewal and Cancellation

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each subscription period.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
• Cancellation will be effective at the end of your current billing period.
• We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods.

Content and Licenses

Iqra Project Content

All content provided through our Services, including but not limited to Quranic text, translations, audio recitations, educational materials, logos, and interface design ("Iqra Content"), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Iqra Content solely for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with the Services.

Third-Party Content

Our Services may include content from third parties, including Quranic recitations, translations, and educational materials. Such content is the property of its respective owners and may be protected by applicable copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property laws.

User-Generated Content

Your Content

"User Content" refers to any content that you upload, record, or share through our Services, including Quran recitations, profile information, and other materials.

By submitting User Content, you:

• Retain ownership rights to your User Content
• Grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform your User Content in connection with operating and improving our Services
• Represent that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content
• Represent that your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party
• Understand that your User Content may be viewed by other users according to your privacy settings

Community Content

If you choose to make your recitations and other content available to the Iqra community, other users may listen to and use your recitations in their learning journey.

Alms Giving and Charitable Donations

Gem Redemption

• Gems earned through app usage can be redeemed toward charitable causes through the Alms Giving feature.
• Redemption values and available charitable causes are determined at our discretion.
• We partner with established charitable organizations to distribute funds.
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Alms Giving feature at any time.

Charitable Distribution

• We make reasonable efforts to ensure that charitable donations are distributed as described.
• A portion of your subscription fee may be directed to charitable causes.
• We will provide transparency regarding the amount of funds distributed to charitable organizations.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Use the Services for any harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services
• Use the Services to transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers connected to the Services
• Collect or harvest any personally identifiable information from the Services
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
• Use the Services in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the Services
• Modify, adapt, or hack the Services or modify another website to falsely imply that it is associated with the Services
• Use any automated means or interface not provided by us to access the Services or extract data
• Use the Services in a manner that may create a conflict of interest or undermine the purposes of the Services

User Conduct

You agree not to post, upload, or share content that:

• Contains hate speech, discrimination, or promotes violence against any group
• Harasses, bullies, or intimidates other users
• Is spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional material
• Impersonates another person, organization, or public figure
• Contains content that is blasphemous or disrespectful to Islamic beliefs and teachings
• Contains sexually explicit, violent, or graphic content
• Exploits or attempts to exploit vulnerabilities in our services

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines and to suspend or terminate accounts of repeat offenders.

Content Moderation

We employ automated content filters on usernames, display names, and bios to maintain a safe and respectful community environment. We reserve the right to:

• Review and remove content that violates our guidelines
• Issue warnings for minor or first-time violations
• Temporarily suspend accounts for repeated violations
• Permanently ban accounts for severe violations

If you believe your content was incorrectly moderated or your account was wrongfully actioned, you may appeal by contacting appeals@iqraproject.com. We will review your appeal within 14 business days.

Intellectual Property

The Iqra Project name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Iqra Project or its affiliates or licensors. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.

Account Termination

Suspension

We may temporarily suspend your account for violations of these Terms. You will be notified of the reason and duration of the suspension. During suspension, you may still access your data but cannot use certain features.

Ban

For severe or repeated violations, we may permanently ban your account. Banned users will be signed out and will not be able to create new accounts.

Self-Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon requesting deletion:

• Your account enters a 30-day grace period
• During this period, you can cancel the deletion by logging back in
• We recommend exporting your data before requesting deletion
• After 30 days, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted

All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Disclaimers

Service Availability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.

We do not warrant that:

• The Services will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location
• Any errors or defects will be corrected
• The Services are free of viruses or other harmful components
• The results of using the Services will meet your requirements

Religious Content

While we strive for accuracy in our Quranic content, we make no warranties regarding the complete accuracy or suitability of the content for religious purposes. Users are encouraged to verify religious content with qualified scholars or other authoritative sources.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Iqra Project, its affiliates, or their directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
• Any damage to your mobile device or computer system
• Any damages for personal or bodily injury

The foregoing limitations will apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Iqra Project and its licensors, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Services.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. The courts of Ontario, Canada shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Services after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Services.
